Late Summer, Football? New Art, DNC SnoozFest, etc

Enjoy the photos, you should be able to click on to open them up and even pinch open further.
I am making more use of links, music and visual. Click on them and then you might have a second link to search. Some locations, such as YouTube generate revenue for your "free" viewing by running ads, so be patient. On occasion there is a "skip ad" button. Sometimes it will load and start when you go there, sometimes you need to click on the white arrow in the red box.

I hope you enjoy the updates to my art and life as presented in this blog. IF you don't like the political stuff and don't want to receive future blogs just say so, no hard feelings. So far, only three have taken me up on the offer. With that in mind, remember:

Below the Fold below is where lies controversial stuff, if you don't want to go there, stay above.
And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I present:

New Art:
First Light, Christmas Morning
12 x 12" oil on panel

Last year I started my Christmas series (I have already started one for 2021), Christmas Eve, same dimensions
Both are in a private collection.

Old Art:
I wasn't happy with a couple of things so I retouched it last week. Pier and bridge in Lakes Park, Ft Myers.

Ditto Colorado Springs, CO

Florida:

Most of the following are from walks around our development.

 UFO cloud above?

on my way home one evening

Well, not Florida, but...
Sent from a friend in Lexington, VA

Watching:
It was loud, but nowhere near as loud as a real race or when you are in the pit area, now THAT is loud. But it showed how hard is racing, how hard you have to work at it.

Well not watching, just looking...Oh Grace

Listening To:
Well, not listening, just looking...before she was a movie star, Doris Day was a recording artist

New to me...

All Day Long...
Beautiful, Protocal, and on and on and on...

This is a repeat from the last blog, I like them that much. If you can listen to studio versions, they are really neat. I can send you a copy from my iTunes. Timberlake/Stapleton video is just plain fun. Lyrics vs melody. Again, on some of the videos, you have to get through an ad or preview:

Link to "Say Something".      It has a skip ad button.           here we go...

Broken Lines is really beautiful with headphones, the video is a little uptempo but you will get the idea:
Link to "Broken Lines".         put your hand on my heart...go ahead, try it

Thoughts:

So, what are his thoughts? I have never been and probably never will make it to Egypt or the Sudan. Why were you conceived by your parents from God, where you were born, when you were born? Really interesting article in The Smithsonian about the Nile River, in particular Sudan. Near El-Kurru, a local boy waits for hibiscus tea to serve customers at a roadside teahouse along the remote desert highway connecting Khartoum to Cairo. Think about him and his life vs. you and your life.

Reading:

Just opened it, light reading during TV commercials

Humor:

 lol

RIP:

I enjoyed working with Greg over the years, did not realize he was one of 17 children.

Artist's dream, do a self-portrait for your own obit photo. Anne was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia MO and KC Art Institute.

Below The Fold---------------------------------------
Or, as I have learned from your input, Preaching To The Choir vs Unbelievers
Enter at your own risk:

They are just plain nuts...

Just like the phoney cancel culture...

The pathologist did not look at the video or photos, just the body and autopsy, Floyd would have probably died from his fentanyl OD without anyone touching him, there was no evidence of neck bruising, and again, I ask: think how different the world would be... think about it, if he had just complied with a lawful command to get into the squad car, stop resisting arrest for a bad check. If he had just done that, all of the $, lives, ill-will, hatred, burning looting could have been avoided. And four police officers who might need better training, would still have their careers. What if?
