“It’s like a ghost is writing a song like that (Like A Rolling Stone). It gives you the song and goes away.” Bob Dylan

I am making more use of links, music and visual. Click on them and then you might have a second link to search. Some locations, such as YouTube generate revenue for your "free" viewing by running ads, so be patient. On occasion there is a "skip ad" button. Sometimes it will load and start when you go there, sometimes you need to click on the white arrow in the red box.

I hope you enjoy the updates to my art and life as presented in this blog. IF you don't like the political stuff and don't want to receive future blogs just say so, no hard feelings. So far, only five have taken me up on the offer. With that in mind, remember: BELOW THE FOLD is where (most) of the controversial stuff is placed. Sometimes stuff is a hybrid, say humor and political. Nevertheless, I do this blog for me, it clears my mind and then I do it to share stuff I think is interesting, fun, needed to be considered, etc. I like, also, the feedback I receive, either on a specific article or the concept in general. Right now there are about 70 of you who receive this directly. Claude

One tour =  $268.3 million; one theatre play = $113 million. Wait until Bernie Sanders and Lizzie Warren find out. Oh yea, its not corporate greed. Never mind.

THINGS THAT I FIND INTERESTING:

Pretty good ball player, great thighs.

Rickey Nelson Henley Henderson for your consideration. He was born in Chicago on Christmas Day 1958 in the back seat of an Oldsmobile on the way to the hospital. Named after Ozzie and Harriet Nelson’s guitar-playing son, he grew up in Oakland and became a true baseball anomaly: He played left field, batted right, threw left, talked about himself sometimes in the third person and, well, did a bunch of things a bit differently from the way they were usually done.
In a Hall of Fame career as the greatest lead-off hitter and base stealer who ever lived, he still played for nine different teams and switched uniforms 12 different times. (He had four stints with the Oakland Athletics and two with the San Diego Padres.) He was the most transient of superstars.

Since the first professional baseball game was recorded in 1869, no one crossed home plate more than . . . Rickey.  From Rickey’s big-league debut on June 24, 1979, to the end of the 2001 season, he had stolen 1,395 bases. During that same period, the Boston Red Sox franchise had stolen 1,382 bases. And, only three players in the history of the sport, Pete Rose, Carl Yastrzemski, and Henry Aaron, played more games than Rickey.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — An abortion clinic that serves women from all over the U.S. south had its license suspended this weekend under an emergency order from Florida health officials after two women who underwent procedures at the clinic were hospitalized this year.

The state Agency for Health Care Administration ordered the suspension of the license for American Family Planning of Pensacola. The suspension went into effect on Saturday.

Two cases were cited by the agency, saying the clinic failed to monitor the patients at all times, didn’t provide medical records when patients were transferred for greater care and didn’t contact the patients within 24 hours after they left the clinic to assess their recovery.

In the order issued Friday, the agency said these operational deficiencies “endangering the health, safety and welfare” of the clinic’s patients. The clinic also failed to submit timely reports about the incidents to the state agency, it said.

In one case, clinic workers urged the husband of a patient to take her to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama, rather than a closer hospital in Pensacola that had a transfer agreement with the clinic, delaying her treatment. At the Alabama hospital, the woman needed to be resuscitated and required a transfusion to replace blood loss, according to the emergency order.

In another case from March, a patient was taken to the emergency room of a Pensacola hospital with bleeding and low blood pressure. She needed emergency surgery and a surgeon performed a hysterectomy. Last year, a third patient required a uterine perforation repair, according to the emergency order.

“Women receiving abortions must receive the level of care and services mandated by law,” the emergency order said.

The clinic is entitled to a hearing about the decision.

A women who said she works for the clinic’s scheduling service answered its phone on Sunday but said nobody was there who could talk about the emergency order. The clinic’s chief financial officer, Roneika Pettermon, who also is listed as its business agent in state business records, didn’t respond to a phone call for comment on Monday.
