Late September

Enjoy the photos, you should be able to click on to open them up and even pinch open further.
I am making more use of links, music and visual. Click on them and then you might have a second link to search. Some locations, such as YouTube generate revenue for your "free" viewing by running ads, so be patient. On occasion there is a "skip ad" button. Sometimes it will load and start when you go there, sometimes you need to click on the white arrow in the red box.

I hope you enjoy the updates to my art and life as presented in this blog. IF you don't like the political stuff and don't want to receive future blogs just say so, no hard feelings. So far, only three have taken me up on the offer. With that in mind, remember:

Below the Fold below is where lies controversial stuff, if you don't want to go there, stay above.
And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I present:

New Art:

I know it to be true on why I select a subject to paint.

No make up, 50 years old.

Recently some of you asked, "Whatever happened to the massive car fire at RSW airport in Fort Myers?" Well here is an update:

I was at our community pool a couple of weeks ago and a Black couple enters the gym and began to work out. He and I both approached the bottled water fountain for a drink. Of course, it would not function. He was about my age and we were talking about the riots in Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, etc, and how they did not compare to those of the 60's such as Detroit, Watts, etc. Then I thought, if we had approached the fountain in, say the 50's or even the early 60's, only one of us would have been allowed to use the fountain, depending on signage. No longer an issue, the obvious observation.
Listening
Link to see how professionals make live music.  Fascinating behind the scenes of music making.
This is Kenny Loggins on Daryl's (Hall) House. Great show, wish it was still in production. He would invite musicians to his farm where they would practice, warmup, perform, and eat. Wonderfull behind the scenes. I loved the Cheap Trick episode. Again, you might have to click on Skip Ad in the lower right corner.

AND, the current Advil commercial on TV - this is the background music by Hannah Grace. What is interesting is that it is a cover of a Fatboy Slim song. Here is the link: Live video on Hannah Grace's Praise You. I have this version, the full orchestra, and a DJ mix in iTunes if you want me to send it. Let me know.

Thoughts:
Some of you might remember earlier photos of my uncle who played on one of three college all-star teams that toured with the Globetrotters on their first world tour. He is the flattop lightly above Pius XII to the right.
The following is an except from the book The Pope Speaks. Right next to this photo, in fact...Comment on life 70 years ago and how to right things even today.

Watching: The Director John Ford...all of his westerns, How Green Was My Valley, The Quiet Man, the cavalry trilogy, etc, he also made over 60 silent shorts and features...busy guy.

Humor:

I love it: Hidin' Biden

Remember the shawls?

The hidden agenda, 6 months after inauguration?

The idiots at NFL HQ were actually considering this? SOMEBODY help them, please.

One reason Trump will win, maybe surprisingly well, the Dems have no candidates. Think about it, Biden, Hillary, Kerry, fat-boy Gore, etc. For his lack of resume, Obama was able to win because people liked him, and in reverse, the Republicans ran weak candidates - conservatives never trusted Maverick or Romney. And, regarding the latter, we were correct.
