Try to paint or draw every day.

Below the Fold is where lies controversial stuff, if you don't want to go there, stay above.

The link to my website: Claude Lyles Art Works  , recently updated. Best view is on your desktop, tablet or laptop; if, however, you view on your phone, the menu is in the "hamburger" in the upper left of the opening screen. It will give you several viewing options.

My only social media is Instagram. I use it to keep track of all the wonderful art being created every day, all around the world. Art works without the blog! You can see a more current version of my comings and goings, art in progress, friends visiting SW Florida, etc. Instagram link, then to estudiocieloazul, or Claude Lyles

Reminder that you can click on photos to enlarge and pinch open even further. And, if you are curious about possibly purchasing a piece, contact me and I will quote you a price either framed or unframed. They are surprisingly affordable. I sold another piece last week. It made me happy to make them happy.

New Art:

Large 11 x 14 Mixed media: Bunker and Emma, on watercolor paper

Estero Bridge on the way to Hickory Pass; it had just rained and the sun popped out.

Old Photo: I just like it. We were young once too.
Goofin' on Elvis: Not sure to whom I should credit for the photo...please don't sue the blog.

 Photos (and listening to):
Just sitting around the large pool tonight, about 6:30. Linda and another woman were swimming laps. I was on the chaise enjoying the gulf breeze, comfortable temperature, listening to Steven Halpern's Deep Alpha ( a different kind than below): Brainwave Synchronization - Hz 8. Weird, I know, but peaceful. Very.

So, we were eating dinner at the Italian place down the block and they had three Alpha's in the lot, two traditional coupes and this new version. Nice.

Other Art:
This is a pretty interesting site Link to William Schneider home page    from there you can sign up for his newsletter, view his work, read about his comings and goings. He has taught/participated in sessions down this way. Is scheduled to put on a workshop this winter in Bonita.

Listening To:

This week while painting I was going through the "A"s - Active Child, The Ad-libs - Boy from NY City, Adele - she is still magic, Adam Shaikh - kind of middle eastern rhythm, Afro Celt Sound System - this collection features on different songs: Robert Plant, Sinead O'Connor, Peter Gabriel, and Mundy. Then Air, Al DiMeola - Tour De Force Live which is most of his hits, but specifically Romantic Warrior selections - just great jazz/fusion electric guitar. And, Al Hirt and Pete Fountain - this was a live set during Super Bowl 9 week. The best Super Bowl cities ranked: #1 New Orleans "Now, and forever"! Next up, Alanis Morrissette, three discs...

Final Comments On D-Day and those young men:

This is Above the Fold because it is Patriotic, not political, IF you are an American: The pages speak for themselves.

Below The Fold---------------------------------------
Enter at your own risk

These are satirical headlines from Babylon Bee, however they capture the craziness better than could I. If you go to their site you can read the three or four satirical paragraphs. Often, the headline says enough. My comment is that this nation is better than this, mothers paying doctors hacks to kill their unborn child. WE have to speak up for them (children and mothers, and fathers who might want the child but have no [apparent] say) and the Supreme Court has to acknowledge that the unborn child has rights, also.

Alabama is trying to do the right thing.

Sign of the times.
And how about the men who identify as women so they can beat women in sporting events...women just can't win, can they?

Our southern border is still dangerous, out of control, no one in congress has the courage to do something about it. Just getting worse and worse. See my prior blogs for specifics. California taxpayers are going to pay for medical care for the illegals. Yikes.

Women want to be treated with respect, fairly, acknowledged, all rightly so; I have five sisters, a wife, daughter-in-law, had a mother, grandmothers, female friends for whom I want that...yet they  repeatedly "expose" themselves to show they can? (the old - could or should dilemma), or for "art's sake"?, or they are "empowered"?  or?
And, they don't want men to "look" at them...still trying to figure this out.
