I am making more use of links, music and visual. Click on them and then you might have a second link to search. Some locations, such as YouTube generate revenue for your "free" viewing by running ads, so be patient. On occasion there is a "skip ad" button. Sometimes it will load and start when you go there, sometimes you need to click on the white arrow in the red box. Also, you can expand most photos and some articles by clicking on it.

I hope you enjoy the updates to my art and life as presented in this blog. IF you don't like the political stuff and don't want to receive future blogs just say so, no hard feelings. So far, only five have taken me up on the offer. With that in mind, remember: BELOW THE FOLD is where (most) of the controversial stuff is placed. Sometimes stuff is a hybrid, say humor and political. Nevertheless, I do this blog for me, it clears my mind and then I do it to share stuff I think is interesting, fun, needed to be considered, etc. I like, also, the feedback I receive, either on a specific article or the concept in general. Right now there are about 70 of you who receive this directly. Claude

MUSIC:

Gated reverb or gated ambience

is an audio processingtechnique that combines strong reverb and a noise gate. This effect is often associated with the sound of 1980s British popular music. It was developed in 1979 by engineer Hugh Padgham and producer Steve Lillywhite while working with the artists XTC, Peter Gabriel, and Phil Collins at Townhouse Studios in London, and is most famously demonstrated in Collins' hit song "In the Air Tonight" (1981).[1][2]

The effect is typically applied to recordings of drums (or live sound reinforcement of drums in a PA system) to make the hits sound powerful and "punchy" while keeping the overall mix clean and transparent sounding.[3] Unlike many reverberationor delay effects, the gated reverb effect does not try to emulate any kind of reverb that occurs in nature. In addition to drums, the effect has occasionally been applied to vocals.[3][4]

THINGS THAT I FIND OF INTEREST:
OF COURSE, THE CLIMATE…Wind power continues to grow in popularity across the country, and especially in Texas. In fact, the Lone Star State produces 30 percent of the nation’s electricity generated by wind. Wind power is a form of clean, renewable energy and can benefit the environment through reducing the country’s dependency on fossil fuels. However, while the energy generated by wind turbines is clean and green, outdated turbine blades are not. With blades spanning up to 260 feet and weighing an average of 36 tons, old or broken blades pose a difficult disposal problem in the U.S. Currently, there are two common disposal methods for turbine blades – burning them or throwing them in a landfill. According to NPR, more than 720,000 tons of blade material will be disposed of over the next 20 years. With an increasing dependence on wind-generated electricity and the ever-growing size of the turbines themselves, the issue of waste from wind turbines is one that cannot be ignored.

Turbine blades are difficult to recycle On average, wind turbines are designed to last approximately 20 to 25 years. The majority of wind turbines are made from steel and copper, which are widely recyclable materials. However, the blades of these turbines are a different matter entirely. Turbine blades tend to be made from composite glass or carbon material. Unlike steel and copper, these materials are not as valuable when recycled, so many turbine owners turn to less green disposal methods, such as disposing of decommissioned blades in landfills. Owners of wind turbines frequently pay for collection services to transport the massive blades to landfills. However, because of their size and weight, turbine blades typically need to be cut up before they can be moved. Disassembling these blades generates increased time and energy spent simply on disposal. Once they reach the landfill, the turbine blades take up a large amount of space. Municipal landfills across the country have encountered issues with finding enough space for the massive number of blades while maintaining room for other forms of waste. The green energy generated by wind turbines appears to be at least partially offset by their “issues”.

If you have an electric vehicle…good news: now you will have room in your garage to hold that old sofa and other stuff since you will have to park outside๐Ÿ˜ฌ

HUMAN VULNERABILITY,  FREE WILL:

There is an idea that each time we are confronted with a decision, we are unspooled on not one but two timelines -one for the choice we made, and one for the one we didn’t. Thus, each individual life isn’t a linear progression from one point to another, but a pre-combinatory ticket made up of many parallel decision trees.

Thus, too many choices; free will is only free if we can choose between A and B not between an endless array of other possibilities. Fortunately, we are not forced to approach every choice we make afresh without the benefit of a coherent, ethical blueprint, or a reliable moral compass. Not to worry though, our forefathers, canny storytellers that they were, understood perfectly well just how lonely life can get which is why they bequeathed to us an enchanted world of saints and miracles, of divine transformation and sweet salvation. what we have to do is re-calculate our spiritual algebra.” We don’t have to continually readdress, reinvestigate, reinvent, and re-experience potential moral decisions.

BELOW THE FOLD: WARNING:

GUN LOGIC:

1 - Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving. Maybe it is time to raise the age of Smart Phone ownership to 21.
2 - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA.
3 - The Second Amendment makes more women equal than the entire feminist movement
4 - Legal gun owners have 300 million guns and probably a trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously, folks, If we were the problem, you'd know it.
5 - When JFK was killed, nobody blamed the rifle.
6 - The NRA (National Rifle Association) murders 0 people and receives ($ 0) nothing in government funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually.
7 - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when It comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D., and candidates running for office.
8 - Folks keep talking about another Civil War. One side knows how to shoot and probably has a trillion rounds. The other side has crying closets and is confused about which bathroom to use. Now tell me, how do you think that would end?

                   for you!
                   5. School girls go to their military training class!
                   6. Where Teachers and other citizenry Carry AR-15's.
                   7. Where it's mandatory that young People Serve in the Military and they are armed 24/7
                   8. Where They Don't over medicate.
                  9. Where the Murder Rate for the whole country is a fraction of what Nashville Tennessee is.
                   10. Where Parents teach respect and values instead of letting Disney and  X-Box raise their Children,
                   11. Where they Stand for their flag and would defend it with their lives!!

Maybe  WE DON'T HAVE A GUN PROBLEM  - WE HAVE A SOCIETY PROBLEM!
Having said that I like it here. Just saying…

In Her Dissent, Justice Sotomayor regretted that the majority failed to protect the rights of the students in the Bremerton School District, who are required to attend school and who this court has long recognized as vulnerable and deserving of protection.” YES, they certainly are vulnerable to pornography, transgender ideology, grooming by “sex positive” activists, mass culture, smart phone addiction, cyber bullying, social media shaming, family break-up, and more. But do they need protection from public displays of religious faith? One wonders in what universe justice Sotomayor resides? First Things
